A BRIEF HISTORY OF THE MARIJUANA MARCH

It’s almost May again, and time for the annual Worldwide Marijuana March, held for the last several years in about 300 cities and towns around the world. The worldwide march, which began in 1999, is an offshoot, a descendant, of marijuana marches and rallies, sometimes called “Smoke-Ins” that have been happening in New York, Washington, D.C. and other cities for more than forty years.
